Wheel Shots

Yesterday afternoon was beautiful. I decided to take advantage of the sunshine and warmth by spinning out on the front porch. Khloe was taking pictures so here are a couple for you to enjoy.

Assistance Request

If you've watched the videos you know that there are some problems with the site. Because of the way that the video links, I have no idea how to do show notes. No surprise to regular blog readers - I don't know how to do nice links here, either. I could really use some help. I'm not a tecchie by any stretch of the imagination. I need tutorials best suited for great-grandparents - or if you were explaining it to, say, a character from a Victorian novel. For some reason the "helpful" videocasters on Plurk have ignored my requests for assistance many times. (I've not been invited to the virtual knit nights, either - am I too cool?)
I'm also on the lookout for some artwork. I'd love an opening scene to go with the misic I'll have soon (I'm going to spend a great deal of time on the podsafe music site) to use as an intro to the episodes instead of the image of me smiling on the couch. I have editing software to figure out, too, so by episode nine or ten everything should be awesome.
My biggest problem is itunes. I seem to be the only video not approved yet. It's very, very annoying to me. Do I need to brag about coffee or swear or something? (I don't drink coffee or swear, maybe that's the problem.) I hate trying to contact itunes. When I've had problems in the past it's been so frustrating for me just to get my message across that I usually quit trying. ( I still can't get my audiobooks to drag to my ipod - why?)
If you can assist in any way, please contact me. Maybe we can work something out.

I'm Not Surprised

This evening I took Khloe to see the Justin Bieber movie. I have enjoyed watching his videos with her and have heard that could see that he's very talented. The movie is quite interesting and entertaining. Justin was an adorable little boy. The videos of him playing drums as a toddler are too cute to describe. He seems like a very honorable and focused young man. There were only a few of us in the theater - and I prefer it that way. Khloe wasn't too shy to sing along and she wasn't alone. On our left was a little boy (maybe five or so) who was having a great time singing and dancing. I'm really considering buying Justin's accoustic CD to practice guitar to - the scenes of him playing inspired me to learn some of his songs. The only criticism I have is this - Justin needs to pull his pants up. The saggy jeans look is old.
That's all I have for today - it's late and I need to get some rest. Check the movie out if you're at all interested in his music or his phenomenon.

Lawn Art

The other day Eric and I were sitting quietly and watching Dalek, an episode of Doctor Who from 2005. After a few minutes I told him about sites that tell how to make daleks and how people take them to conventions and then it hit me - how about a couple of daleks in the yard? Wouldn't they be great? I would especially love it if they could keep the neighbor's dog from using our lawn as a potty - and other people's children from walking through thinking it's okay to get from their house to Kmart or Shake Shack without asking (I don't like strangers in the back yard while my girl is in the pool or something). Needless to say, he wasn't as excited about the idea as I was. Maybe I'll just build a dalek with a cupboard bottom for kitchen storage - and add some sort of lights to make it more fun and scifi. Or maybe I'll just make one of those cool dalek dresses so my geekiness can be worn all over the place!
